AUXILIARY NURSE VACANCY

Blythman & Partners Ltd are looking to welcome an auxiliary nurse to join our team. Being a large, independent, mixed veterinary practice, we are able to offer a rewarding and varied caseload in a supportive friendly environment for you to gain valuable experience and veterinary nursing knowledge. As a recognised training practice, when training positions become available these opportunities are offered to our existing auxiliary nursing team for you to further develop your veterinary career with us.

This full-time permanent position may require you to work at any of our 7 branch surgeries as well as the hospital site, on a shift basis with requirements to cover night shifts, weekends and bank holidays as experience is gained on a shared out of hours rota.

In this position you will receive:

4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
1 additional day holiday for your birthday following 1 year continued service.
CPD actively encouraged and supported.
Staff discount scheme following successful completion of probationary period.
Scope to complete RVN training.
Requirements:

5 G.C.S.E.s at grade 4 and above, which must include Maths, English and at least one Science.
Full clean Driving licence and own transport.
Previous experience is an advantage but not necessary as full in-house training will be given.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic nurse, able to build an excellent rapport with our clients, with the ability to work alongside and complement our existing friendly team of vets, nurses and receptionists to deliver gold standard care to our clients and patients. We deal with a range of companion animals and expect candidates to be able to adapt and provide care to suit differing patients needs.

Duties include assisting with all aspects of daily practice. Such as assisting vets and nurses with their duties, animal handling/restraint, all aspects of inpatient care, maintaining excellent standards of hygiene across all areas of the practice including cleaning, laundry and autoclaving. Assisting on reception, taking telephone calls and booking appointments.

NEW GRADUATE OR EXPERIENCED VET SURGEON REQUIRED

Full or Part Time, New Graduate or Experienced Vet Surgeon Required.

Starting Salary From 35k

Independent practice, established for over 100 years is seeking an experienced or new graduate MIXED animal vet surgeon to join our lovely team.
We offer a supportive, encouraging work environment and pride ourselves on top quality, modern medicine and surgery in the heart of North East England. Close to excellent transport links, city centres, countryside’s and the coast.

What we are looking for: MIXED VET

  • 85% small, 10% equine, 5% farm mix
  • Full time, 5 days a week MIXED animal vet (OPTION TO REDUCE TO 4 DAYS AFTER 1 YEAR)
  • Part time hours are negotiable but ideally at least 2 full days per week plus the below weekend rota cover
  • One night on call per week (with support by another vet)
  • 1 full weekend on call in every 6 (for every full weekend worked, no night on call the following week and a Friday or Monday off to make a long weekend)
  • 1 Saturday morning in 3 (one of these will be part of the full weekend on call every 6)
  • Must have driving licence
  • Bank holiday cover equally shared

FULL-TIME REGISTERED VETERINARY NURSE

Blythman & Partners Ltd are looking to welcome an RVN to join our team. Being a large, independent, mixed veterinary practice, we are able to offer a rewarding and varied caseload in a supportive friendly environment

This full-time permanent position, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. You may be required to work at any of our 7 branch surgeries as well as the hospital site. Night shifts, weekends and bank holidays are on a shared rota.

In this position you will receive:

• Competitive salary adjusted depending on level of experience.
• 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, which increases with every 5 years continued service.
• 1 additional day holiday for your birthday, following 1 year of continued service.
• CPD actively encouraged and supported.

Our branches and hospital site are well equipped with a range of diagnostic facilities, in-house laboratory equipment with 24 hour hospital care provided 365 days a year. As a recognised training practice you will have the opportunity to continue to expand your experience and knowledge with supported CPD, whilst helping to support our next generation of trainee veterinary nurses on their training journey.
